Kyrie Irving is officially off and running in his first full season as a Dallas Maverick. I believe Dallas is the absolute perfect fit for Dallas, and will make for a great forever home for him. Kyrie has always been a polarizing player for a number of reasons. Widely regarded as the best human being to ever handle a basketball, but yet that usually isn’t what people are talking about when talking about him. Which is a damn shame because very few players quite literally make you stop in the middle of a game and say “How is that even possible?” Like he does. It’s amazing.

Let’s take a look at some the reasons Kyrie has been scrutinized and why that shit doesn’t matter in Dallas, Texas.

The most recent giant controversy around Kyrie was the whole vaccine debacle. Which for the crazy left woke liberal New Yorkers seemed like the worst thing a man could do. Even if the rule clearly made no sense like he could be sitting on the bench in the arena, but not on the court? Sure, whatever. Now in Dallas nobody cared about covid. Dallas was open to vaccinated and unvaccinated alike basically the entire time. I bet most Texans praise Kyrie for not getting the jab and standing up for what he believes in.

Then I guess another big thing was a tweet about a documentary. Which honestly I don’t know anything about. I’m not saying people in Texas are racist; however, I do think Texans may be a lot more forgiving of a tweet like that than New Yorkers. In the South people also believe in forgiveness and second chances, and as long as you’re playing like an All Star you’ll always get a second chance.

Now let’s take a look at the on the court stuff. The stuff that really matters. Because at the end of the day true fans of a sports team really only care about winning. I believe Kyrie is a perfect fit in Dallas alongside Luka Doncic. Kyrie’s most successful post season runs always came alongside LeBron James. What player in todays NBA most resembles LeBron’s offensive abilities? Clearly Luka Doncic. He is basically the same size with the same ability to totally dissect an NBA defense and make the right play always. Kyrie has been so unselfishly shined off the ball as the second guy next to a superstar. He also thrives when in total control of the offense when Luka is resting.

The future is bright in Dallas thanks to Kyrie and Luka. Dallas is excited to have you Kyrie.
